You need a break! (from your pain)

It's amazing how many people will comment how their back pain, neck pain, headache, sciatica or other ache was better while they were on vacation. They were able to move better, rest better, be better while away from work and their regular routine.


Why does this happen? Our bodies operate on habits and patterns. When we alter those habits and patterns, it gives our body a chance to change its environment enough that it adapts better. Better adaptation means less back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, aches and other symptoms from many health problems.


So taking a break is always a good part of the healing process. Interestingly enough, this is also one reason why chiropractic works so well...it helps to change the envorinment where a problem exists so that your body is open to doing something new or different. This is often a component of recovering function in your body. Better function means less back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica and the like.


While others are looking to add more to someone's routine to heal or fix a problem, I prefer to encourage people to take a break, change their routines, follow some healthy habits, get chiropractic adjustments, and it's amazing what people can heal from.
